But the problem is that you still have to read the messages to know which ones are trolling and which ones are legitimate.Īnd it's always stupid things that people are irrationally furious about. You read the messages, block, report, and then read other messages. On top of that, what are we going to say."Hey guys, don't be jerks!" Ninety-nine percent of you don't need to be told and the one percent behaving like assholes aren't going to listen.īut, waking up and looking at social media to get two random accounts trolling when you're already in a bad mood because of other stuff you've been dealing with turns social media into a huge chore. Our general policy is that we don't really acknowledge those people because we have nothing good to say about them and we like to keep our tone light. When we were small, it was never an issue but as we got more fans.a dedicated few can get really annoying. While the overwhelming majority of our fans are cool, all it really takes is one jerk to turn social media into a massive chore and we have more than one. Also, they hired a new producer going forward to handle their audio mastering so they don't think it should take as long in the future.īeyond that, we pulled away from social media because we really needed a break from it and the less we looked at it the better we generally felt about things. But, it is what it is.Īs for the Audiobook for Herald of Shalia 4, Amber and Kieran finished mastering the files and we reviewed them so all that needs to happen is some edits need to be applied then we can submit it for review and sale. Also, it's a bit discouraging to rewrite something we already wrote. So, we're kind of back on the nightly writing sessions.

Rewriting is going more slowly because the writer in the duo accepted a six-month contract in their primary field in January. We hired an attorney to help us navigate the situation after holiday but they were ultimately unable to help and we are better off just rewriting Book 6 so it doesn't get swept up in anything. We talked a big game about pulling away but we don't really see a viable way for us to do that. We're in the process of rewriting Herald of Shalia 6 so it can be published through Amazon. So, to cut to the chase, here is what's going on. This left us in a really foul mood and it left us with a bunch of stuff to deal with from attempting to get it published to bringing in some income. Not only did we struggle finishing Book 6 of Herald of Shalia but we ran into publishing issues as well. We're sorry for not responding to people messaging and emailing us but we needed to pull away from social media because we just didn't have the bandwidth for it. We know a lot of people have been concerned for our well-being and we appreciate that.
